TKA goes green!

Temple Kol Ami believes strongly in TIkkun Olam, Repairing the World. As we grow and expand our facility we have embraced the philosophy of building "green". The aim is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, judging the school as environmentally responsible.

  • The staff at Kol Ami recycles paper and cardboard, bottles and cans, and printer cartridges.
  • TKA will no longer be using any Styrofoam products. All paper will be recycled, so look for the containers marked for that purpose. Glass or plastic bottles, aluminum or steel cans, aluminum trays and any plastic container with a 1 or a 2 in the little triangle on the bottom should be placed in the yellow recycling containers in the kitchen area.
  • Bring your empty printer cartridges to the Temple on your next visit and help us work together to save the environment and earn a little extra money.
