Sisterhood

Temple Kol Ami Sisterhood

The purpose of our Sisterhood is to foster and further the highest ideals of Reform Judaism as expressed through the Temple, to promote closer fellowship amongst our members and to offer service to the congregation and greater community through religious, social, philanthropic and educational activities.

Our Sisterhood is an active member of Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), a network of over 65,000 women from 600 sisterhoods throughout the world. As a new member of Temple Kol Ami, you will receive a complimentary first year membership in Sisterhood and your dues will be paid to WRJ.  Your family will receive a special Welcome Bag as our way of expressing delight in your Temple Kol Ami membership.

A Message from the President

Belonging to a Temple can be so much more than attending services twice a year, or dropping kids off at religious school!  Walk into one of our programs and you will be greeted with warmth and genuine interest. We are an easygoing group of women of varying ages and backgrounds and we know that you will fit right in! You can become VERY involved right away or simply attend events.

Some of our most popular events are our “Taste of Sisterhood” cooking demos, Paid-Up Membership Dinner, Rosh Chodesh gatherings (I had no idea what this was until I went!), book reviews, and our annual Women’s Seder.  I encourage you to become actively engaged in Sisterhood as a way of embracing our wonderful, mighty Temple! I look forward to meeting you.
